Ottawa police fired near Herongate on Tuesday afternoon It states that it is supported.
Residents are encouraged to avoid the area.
"Police officers responding to the injured Banff Avenue shooting at 2000 blocks," Ottawa Police Service wrote in a tweet around 1 pm. Wednesday. “Avoid that area. Follow updates.”
Banff Avenue runs between Walkley Road and Redberry Park, just east of Bank Street in southern Ottawa.
