Police were dispatched to the areas of Garnet Street and Dudeney Avenue where the conflict occurred.

"When they arrived as police, firefighters and EMS, they found the victim of a 28-year-old man lying on the road," RPS said. "He was taken to the hospital by EMS to treat a serious injury.
" The truck involved in the collision was just west of the intersection. Many people gathered and police Instructed them to stay near the sidewalk to collect potential eyewitness testimonies. "

RPS preliminary investigation According to police, the truck was heading west on Dudeney Avenue in the right lane, and the cyclist was heading south on Garnet Street when the two collided.
