England's Leeds United continued the US theme with a $ 24 million transfer from RB Leipzig to midfielder Tyler Adams, ESPN reported.
Under American manager Jesse Marsch, Leeds United remained in the Premier League to avoid being demoted last season. The club also added another American product this offseason, landing from RB Salzburg to forward / midfielder Brenden Aaronson.
Adams, 23, and Aaronson, 21, played an important role in helping the US men's national team advance to the World Cup in Qatar starting in November.
New York-born Adams has played for RBI Leipzig in Bundesliga, Germany for the past four seasons, and the team came in second in 2020-21 and never fell below fourth. The defensive midfielder has goals and four assists in 75 games in Germany.
New Jersey native Aaronson helped RB Salzburg win the Austrian Bundesliga title in each of the last two seasons, returning to the 2020-21 season and scoring nine goals with nine assists.
Marsh spent his time as Head Coach of Adams in Germany and Head Coach of Aaronson in Austria.
