MOSCOW — Russia on Thursday condemned a Latvian parliamentary resolution designating Russia a "state sponsor of terrorism".

"Given that there is no substance behind this decision except for animalistic xenophobia, the ideologues should be called simply neo-Nazis," said Maria, spokeswoman for the Foreign Ministry. Zakharova wrote on Telegram.

The resolution states that "Latvia recognizes Russia's actions in Ukraine as a targeted genocide against the Ukrainian people," and states that "Latvia has taken military, financial, humanitarian and diplomatic measures against Ukraine." He asked for more support.
