Russian troops have withdrawn from Snake Island off the coast of Ukraine in the Black Sea as a "good faith gesture," the Pentagon said Thursday.
The ministry said the move did not interfere with the UN's efforts to organize a humanitarian corridor for Russia to export agricultural products from Ukraine.
The island of Snake, occupied by Russia on the first day of the invasion, became world-famous when the Ukrainian border guards stationed there refused to request the surrender of Russian warships. (Report by Reuters, edited by Jason Neely)
