Johannesburg — South African Health Minister Joe Fara confirmed Thursday that he had confirmed the first case of monkeypox from a national laboratory. He said he was notified. In South Africa.
The patient was a 30-year-old man from Johannesburg who had no travel history. "This means it wasn't because it was acquired outside South Africa," Phaahla said at a news conference.
