The San Antonio Spurs announced the signing of center Gorghi Dien on Tuesday. Terms were not disclosed, with The Athletic reporting a one-year deal for him.
Dieng, 32, averaged 3.5 points, 2.8 rebounds and 8.4 minutes in his 44 games (3 starts) for Atlanta in 2021-22.
The 6-foot-10 veteran has appeared in 16 games for the Spurs in 2020-21, averaging 5.3 points and he averaged 2.6 rebounds.
Over ten seasons, Dieng has averaged a career average of 7.5 points and 5.7 rebounds in 597 games (208 starts) for his Minnesota Timberwolves, Memphis Grizzlies, Hawks and Spurs.
His first-round pick (his 21st overall) by the Utah Jazz in 2013, he was traded to the Timberwolves on draft night.
