A residence in St-Léonard was hit by multiple gunshots Monday night, becoming the latest in a series of incidents over the past two weeks that have seen homes and businesses riddled by gunfire.
Montreal police were alerted to the latest incident by a 911 call received at 10:15 p.m. reporting a residence on Albanel St. near Thierry St. had come under fire.

Officers discovered the residence had been hit repeatedly and found spent cartridge casings on the ground.
The shooter had left the scene by the time police arrived and there were no injuries reported. A crime scene was set up at the site and a canine unit deployed to find evidence.
Monday’s incident is the fourth shooting incident in two weeks in which were buildings targeted.
Sunday at 3:45 a.m., the window of a restaurant on Deslauriers St. near Benjamin-Hudon. St. in the borough of St-Laurent was shattered by gunfire. On March 11, a home on Anna-Paquin St. in the Rivière-des-Prairies district was hit by gunshots at 1:20 a.m.
On March 6, shots were fired at bar on Stanley St. below Ste-Catherine St. W.
There were no injuries reported in any of the incidents.
