St-Léonard restaurant badly damaged in firebombing

A Molotov cocktail was thrown through the window of the restaurant on Jean-Talon St., police said.

The Montreal police arson squad has been assigned to investigate after a restaurant was firebombed early Wednesday.

The incident occurred at 4 a.m. when what police described as Molotov cocktail — a crude firebomb — was thrown through the window of a restaurant on Jean-Talon St. near Fontenelle St.

No injuries were reported, however damage to the establishment was considerable, police said.
