Unifor members approved a four-year contract after three weeks. WestJet announced in March last year an agreement to purchase Sunwing Airlines and Sunwing Vacations for a private amount.

Unifor spokesman Scott Doherty said the WestJet deal was "although I'm sure management wasn't a candidate for a sale or merger." I slapped it. "

Barrett Ahman, who heads a local union on behalf of the pilot, may have been promoted by Unifour if the pandemic put financial pressure on the airline and if the sales negotiations were "transparent". He understands that there is no concession because of the employment security language in case of acquisition.

Sunwing did not immediately respond to the request for comment.
