Saba reports that a convoy belonging to a Saudi-backed unit was attacked by men armed overnight using roadside bombs in Abian, killing three soldiers. He added that the bodies of the other two were recovered.
The second attack targeted troops at a checkpoint in Ateq, a southern town in Shabwah province, early Wednesday, killing five soldiers, Sabah said. Two Yemeni officials have confirmed two attacks on Reuters.
They said both attacks injured several people.
