West Yellowstone, Mont. (AP) — A tanker truck carrying gasoline capsized in Yellowstone National Park on Friday, spilling an estimated 4,800 gallons (18,200 liters).
Authorities were investigating whether unleaded gas entered local streams.
A truck driver lost control of his rig in an early morning accident on Highway 191, which runs along the west side of the park near the Montana-Wyoming border, park officials said in a statement. Stated.
No injuries were reported, and it was not immediately clear if the creek had entered the Gray Ring, a small channel that flows from the Gallatin Mountains into Hebgen Lake in Montana. His one lane of the
freeway was closed Friday evening due to an ongoing cleaning operation.
