WILLIAMS LAKE, BC — A teenager died while his ATV overturned in Williams Lake, BC.

A 17-year-old woman said she crashed while riding her horse at the terminus of the Gun-a-Noot trail south of the city, according to the RCMP.

Police said officers were present at the scene, and paramedics and firefighters provided medical care.

A teenage girl was taken to hospital, but she died from her injuries.

The RCMP said evidence gathered at the scene indicated she was not wearing a helmet.

The cavalry and coroner's office are investigating the crash.
