Dodgers beat Brewers, Tony Gonsolin pitches Gem for 15th win

Tony Gonsolin allowed just two hits in seven innings for his 15th victory, a National League record, as the Los Angeles Dodgers held on to a 2-1 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday night.

With Austin Barnes and Max Muncy each hitting solo homers, the Dodgers rallied from a 5–4 loss in 11 innings on Tuesday. Los Angeles, which has been 21-5 since the All-Star break, has not lost two in a row through July 25-26.

The Brewers drew 2–1 in his eighth round against Caleb Ferguson. He struck out his two batters in the first, but then Tyrone he walked Taylor and Mario Feliciano. Christian Yelich followed with an RBI single.

Lauer got out of the first jam. Mookie Betts opened on bases, stole second, and on a wild pitch he advanced to third. Trea Turner then walked, but Lauer sent Freddie Freeman on a fly to shallow center and hit the next two.
