A 35-year-old man faces charges after police conducted a drug raid in Oshawa in which they seized two handguns.
Durham Regional Police said that officers executed a search warrant at apartments near Simcoe St. N. and Rossland Rd. W. on Tuesday.
“Prior to the execution of the warrant, the suspect exited the apartment on Simcoe St. N. and officers attempted to arrest him when a brief foot pursuit ensued,” Const. Crystal Fitzgerald alleged in a statement released Wednesday. “With the assistance of the K-9 Unit, the suspect was taken into custody.”
During the execution of the search warrant, investigators allegedly seized about $6,000 in cash, crack cocaine, fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, two handguns, and ammunition.

Glenford Johnson, of Oshawa, faces a slew of drug and weapons charges.
He was held for a bail hearing.
