Washington — The U.S. Department of Justice sued Arizona on Tuesday, and state law, due out in January, violates federal law by requiring proof of citizenship documents in some federal elections. Insisted.
"This proceeding uses all available tools to protect the voting rights of all Americans and ensure their voice is heard in democracy. "It reflects the deep commitment of the United States Assistant Attorney for Civil Rights," Kristen Clarke told the press briefing.
