London — British Prime Minister Boris Johnson's Conservative Party lost a seat in Wakefield's parliament in northern England on Friday, with voters then Months of scandals and rising living costs that hit the party.
Opposition Labor candidate Simon Ritwood won the Wakefield by-election with a majority of 4,925 votes, regaining the Labor Party's lost seat in 2019 for the first time in 90 years. (Report by Alistair Smout, edited by Christopher Cushing)
