KIEV — Ukrainian state-owned nuclear company Energoatom said on Friday that the Russian military plans to switch off the power blocks operating at the Zaporizhia nuclear power plant and disconnect them from the Ukrainian power grid.
In a statement, Energoatom said it believed Russia, which controls power plants in southern Ukraine, was preparing a "massive provocation" there. Moscow itself accused Kyiv of preparing a "provocation" at the site on Thursday. (Reporting by Max Hunder, Writing by Tom Balmforth, Editing by Toby Chopra)
