West Virginia man killed in Myrtle Beach while on vacation was done. A stranger who asked him for a ride.

Josh Wilson, 40, of Parkersburg, West Virginia, was at a gas station with his family before heading to a hotel in Myrtle Beach when a man I approached in search of an elevator. Last month, theMyrtle Beach Sun he reportednews.

A good-hearted man agreed to take a stranger on board after dropping off his family.

"I didn't think anything of it because he does it all the time," his wife, Stacey Wilson, told the outlet. He was found in his car suffering from a serious gunshot wound, the paper reported.

He was taken to hospital, but was taken off his life support on 10 July.

Quentin Ahmad Jean, 35, has been charged with the shooting, according to Myrtle Beach Police.News release.

"I went to the beach with her husband and came back alone," Stacey said. "He died the day before my birthday. I honestly don't want to celebrate it again."

The grieving widow said her late husband was completely selfless. Told.

"He was always kind to everyone," she said. "It didn't matter if you were homeless or a struggling addict or rich. He was kind and tried to help everyone. That's how he ended up in this situation." 49}

She added: "He didn't deserve it."
