Woman feared abducted is found safe: Toronto cops

Toronto Police say a possible kidnapping victim was located 10 1/2 hours after she went missing from a downtown laneway.

Const. David Hopkins had told the Toronto Sun there were “significant concerns” about the safety of Amber Johnson, 33, who went missing from the Sherbourne-Dundas Sts. area at about 8:45 a.m. Monday.

Police charged James Felfoldi, 51, of kidnapping and failing to comply with parole.

“She was located Monday, July 13, 2020, at approximately 7:15 p.m,” said a police statement. No other details were immediately available.

A passerby found a woman passed out in a laneway, suffering from an apparent drug overdose.

Police said other passersby challenged the man who took the woman. The car was located a short time later, but the woman was not in the vehicle.
