Night curfew begins in occupied north today

A week long night curfew in the occupied territories will be imposed this evening, lasting through to January 25, due to a rise in local covid cases.

The movement restrictions will be in place from 10 until five in the morning.

In addition, schools in the occupied north will not be reopening tomorrow, with a decision expected next Friday on when pupils will be returning.

Out of 31 new cases announced yesterday in the north, 28 people were infected locally.

Inoculations with both the Chinese and the Pfizer vaccines begun yesterday.
