Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says foul play should not be ruled out as the search continues for a missing French national.

Rescue teams are searching for the French national, identified as Marion Hermier, who police said had arrived in Dominica on board a French-registered vessel on February 4 and was not on the vessel when it left the island five days later.

Police reports say, the 26 year old French national reportedly went on a hike to the Waitukubuli National Trail, which is over 115 miles of rainforest, cloud forest, streams, and mountains.

Prime Minister Skerrit says Dominica is working with the French authorities on this matter however he believes the captain and crew of the ship should be questioned by French authorities on the whereabouts of their missing crew member.

Kernisha was abducted from her home on June 6, 2022 by now deceased Keyan Alexander.

The Prime Minister says, while the physical search of the forest may have ended, the case is still open and police are following all potential leads in hopes of finding the missing child.
