A Place in the Sun’s new host Lee Juggernauth mortified as couple abruptly halt viewing

'AWKWARD'

A PLACE In The Sun’s new presenter Lee Juggernauth got off to an awkward start after a couple cut short one of his first ever property viewings.

Lee brought married couple Dabi and Devi to Gandia, Valencia in a bid to find them their perfect holiday home, showing five properties around the luxurious and warm location.

However, after seemingly on a winning streak with his first two properties, the third landed completely flat with the pair refusing to even finish looking around.

The couple, who had a budget of £180,000, were shown a two-and-a-half bedroom villa in Almisera, and immediately weren’t impressed.

Looking for a good outside space, heated pool and an open plan kitchen, Dabi immediately didn’t like the garden, which was also missing the pool they’d hoped for.

Assuring them that there is planning permission to build a pool, Devi said that there was nothing around them and it just didn’t feel right.

After looking at the small living room area, they decided that it wasn’t for them, and rather than seeing outside, they decided not to bother checking out the upstairs space.

“I think not, I don't think so,” they said on the offer of seeing the bedrooms.

“This ground floor here is just not doing it for us.”

With that, the team left, with Lee looking deflated.

A Place in the Sun couple manage to shave thousands off the asking price of a house in Valencia

Thankfully, they were able to pull it back - and at the end of the episode, they found a place they wanted to call home.

In an even bigger pull, they were able to shave a staggering £30,000 off the asking price - landing a stunning villa for £167,500.

A Place In The Sun airs weekdays at 4pm on Channel 4.
