A man hid his friend's body under a bed after returning home and finding she had died after smoking heroin for the first time, an inquest heard.
Samantha Dixon, 36, was discovered by police at an address in Amesbury in Wiltshire, on November 30 last year following an anonymous tip off.
This week, an inquest ruled the mum-of-one died from a combination of alcohol and drugs.
Her friend Stan Lee Marvel, 34, had returned to his property in Amesbury, Wiltshire, and discovered cashier Mrs Dixon's lifeless body in his bed.
He 'panicked' before hiding her under a bed and fleeing.
Four days later, police found drug addict Marvel 30 miles away in Trowbridge, Wiltshire.
Last month, he pleaded guilty to preventing a lawful burial and is set to be sentenced at Salisbury Crown Court on October 24.
Assistant coroner Ian Singleton recorded a conclusion of an alcohol and drug related death at Mrs Dixon's inquest at Salisbury Coroner's Court.
A statement from her family said: "Samantha totally adored her daughter and whatever happened in Samantha's life she never stopped loving her.
"Tragically, Samantha battled with an alcohol addiction and unfortunately this took her down the wrong path."
