The owner of Cafe Rouge and Bella Italia has announced the restaurant is going into administration.
A total of 91 restaurants are closing with the loss of 1,900 jobs.
The Casual Dining Group, which also owns Las Iguanas, said due to the "extreme operating environment" it was in the best interest of the company's stakeholders to enter administration.
Around 91 of 250 branches will close nationwide.
Most of the restaurants affected are Bella Italia or Cafe Rouge branches, but 11 Las Iguanas restaurants, three Belgo branches and several airport chains will also shut.
