CHELSEA flop Gonzalo Higuain has reportedly been offered to Inter Milan.
Higuain has scored just four times since joining Chelsea on loan in January.
And his move will not be made permanent regardless of whether Chelsea’s transfer ban is still in place.
Higuain was supposed to rescue Maurizio Sarri’s season when the Blues convinced Juventus to cut his AC Milan loan short.
But the former Real Madrid superstar has been caught out by the pace of the Premier League.
And Chelsea’s hierarchy will refuse to sanction another deal for Higuain despite Sarri’s belief he can recapture the form which saw him score 36 goals in just 35 Serie A appearances.
Meanwhile, Juventus do not want Higuain to return as they can’t afford his annual salary which amounts to nearly £8million.
Juve had to break the bank to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Real last summer.
And they cannot keep both him and Higuain in the same squad.
It’s now been claimed the veteran has been offered to Inter, who may need a new striker this summer.
Mauro Icardi is expected to depart after being stripped of the captaincy.
And they may fancy experimenting with Higuain in attack despite his shortcomings with rivals Milan.
