Chelsea suffered their worst defeat in Premier League history on Sunday when they were thrashed 6-0 by Manchester City .

The Blues were four down by the break and things got even worse in the second half as Sergio Aguero completed his hat-trick to pile more misery on Maurizio Sarri's side.

Chelsea have a hectic schedule over the next fortnight, with a Europa League tie against Malmo sandwiching their FA Cup clash with Manchester United before a Carabao Cup final with City.

And Blues stars reportedly held a tense clear-the-air meeting at their Cobham training ground on Monday as they look to bounce back, according to The Sun.

Chelsea were left stunned by City's display

Sarri's future has been plunged into further doubt following the drubbing at the Etihad and the under-fire manager admits his fate is out of his hands.

Asked if he felt he was at risk from the sack, Sarri said: “I don’t know. You’ll have to ask the club.

“I’m worried about my team, worried about the performance, but my job is always at risk, so I’m not too worried about that.”

Sarri was also asked if he expected to be summoned to a meeting with the Chelsea hierarchy over his future and said: “I don’t know. Not at the moment, but I think that will happen because that’s normal.

"It’s something we need to do. I’m in charge of the team so it’s right [that he faces pressure].”
