Scotland has recorded its first coronavirus death in eight days.

Latest figures from the Scottish Government show one person has died from the disease in the last 24 hours while 11 new confirmed cases have been reported.

In NHS Ayrshire and Arran, the number of positive coronavirus cases remains unchanged at 1,260.

There remains fewer than five patients, within the health board's region, in intensive care with confirmed or suspected COVID-19.

And the number of people in hospital with confirmed coronavirus at midnight also stands at fewer than five.

Across Scotland a total of 310,644 tests have been carried out with 18,384 delivering a positive result for the coronavirus.
