EastEnders has revealed a first look at Lisa Fowler coming face-to-face with her ex Phil Mitchell, as she makes her Walford return.

Lucy Benjamin has reprised her role for the scenes, with pregnant daughter Louise Mitchell currently on the run with partner Keanu Taylor who was accused of attacking Phil earlier this month.

Lisa did make a brief comeback two years ago, while recently it was confirmed she would be back once more amid her daughter’s baby plot.

Now, fresh details have been confirmed about the storyline and what brings her back to Walford, following a dramatic trailer hinting she’s planning to get Louise and Keanu out of the country.

EastEnders has revealed Lisa Fowler's return

Two new photos show the moment Lisa bumps into two people she knows very well as she steps back onto the Square.

In one snap she looks tense as she speaks with pal Mel Owen, played by Tamzin Outhwaite, with the pair previously living in Portugal together when they both exited the Square over a decade and a half ago.

While the best pals look as though they’re having a row, Lisa is in fact seeking help from Mel - with this being the reason she’s back in Albert Square.

Lisa returns for Mel Owen's help

Lisa asks for assistance with her situation, but it isn’t long before word gets around that she’s there.

Louise and Keanu still appear to be missing at this point, but Phil wants answers.

He manages to track her down, but will Lisa reveal Louise’s whereabouts?

Louise and Keanu are on the run

The second photo shows the exes in the market, and while Lisa is giving nothing away Phil doesn’t look happy.

Viewers will have to stay tuned, while actress Lucy has teased drama head telling Mirror online: “What a week to return! It's all going on in that week and drama seems to follow her around, which is fantastic equally. I mean, I wouldn't want it any other way, to be honest.

"But when I first got the scripts, I remember saying to [Executive producer] Jon, 'Flippin' heck!' I mean, this is just crazy what's going on.

"Watching that, I don't remember when I shed a tear watching an episode of EastEnders and that has just brought a tear to my eye. I just think it's brilliant, I'm thrilled to be a part of this storyline."
