Hollyoaks viewers in tears as Felix opens up to Martine about ‘heartbreaking’ childhood abuse

EMOTIONAL SCENES

HOLLYOAKS viewers were left welling up tonight as Felix opened up to ex Martine about the abuse he suffered as a child.

Felix (played by Richard Blackwood) was forced to open up to Martine (Kéllé Bryan) after she overheard him confronting Brody after he told all to the police.

Refusing to take no for an answer, Martine followed Felix home and managed to draw the truth out of him.

"Forget it, it was rubbish," Felix told his ex, to which she replied: "I don’t think it was."

Felix then proceeded to tell all about the care home he grew up in, where he was abused by a man called Cormack.

"He was old school, he was a racist bully and I was the only non-white kid in there so I was singled out for 'special correction'," he told her.

"Cracked ribs, broken fingers, you name it. I thought it would stop when I was bigger than him, but it it didn’t - he just got more creative."

Felix then went on to show Martine the horrific scars on his back, which brought her to tears.

"I didn’t deserve happiness, I didn’t deserve you," he told her as she hugged him and tried to comfort her former flame.

Hollyoaks viewers were in tears as they watched Felix open up, with one person tweeting: "Felix talking about his abuse 😭😭😭😭😭😭 #Hollyoaks."

Another person commented: "Hearing Felix back story is so heart breaking 😢😢💔💔," while a third added: "Seeing a different side to Felix 💔."

Other fans of the Channel 4 soap were shocked when the episode ended with Felix and Martine kissing - despite him dating Lisa.

"Eye Eye Martine and Felix, old flames being reacquainted," one person tweeted, while another said: "Oooh Felix & Martine #Hollyoaks #CoupleGoals."

A third viewer added: "I actually like Martine and Felix together #Hollyoaks."
