A new ice cream parlour with a familiar name is set to open in the city centre.
Caffe Gelato already operates a popular venue in Princes Avenue.
Now the company is advertising for staff to work in a new outlet in Prospect Street.
Currently empty, the unit was previously used as a charity shop by Dove House Hospice.
A banner advertising the new ice cream parlour has recently appeared on the front of the property saying it is opening soon.
The company's website says: "Caffe Gelato on Princes Avenue, Hull has been serving mouth-watering gelato and desserts to locals and visitors alike for many years.
"Our shop is famous for its amazing variety of flavours, incredible textures, and overall deliciousness.
"For us, gelato isn’t just a dessert, it’s a conversation starter, a time of day, a treat, a celebration, a thrill.
"We love gelato, and it shows. We strive to create incredible homemade gelatos and desserts that taste as good as they look.
"We mix and match amazing combinations of flavours so that every scoop that we serve meets your highest delicious expectations."
The move to open a city centre branch is a boost for the immediate area as there are currently no fewer than 18 empty shop units in Prospect Street and King Edward Street.
Recent closures have included Boots in the Propect Centre and Leisureland Amusements.
The 'Frizza Caffe Gelato' in Newland Avenue is run as a separate business.
