A young entrepreneur who started a vegan sweets business in his spare bedroom has a £1 million A profitable global business.
Laura Scott, 25, began selling pick-and-mix style confections in 2018 after finding a gap in her market.
She used to buy her treats in bulk and sell her selection bags online during lunch breaks at her graphic design job.
The Conscious Candy Company officially launched in her April 2019 and sold out on the first day.
By the end of 2020, turnover had surpassed her £1 million and she now works in a 5,000 square foot unit with her two full-time staff.
Laura of Devonof Plymouth said:
"I work more than when I was employed, but I have freedom."
