Katie Price confirms Harvey does not have coronavirus but is remaining in intensive care for ‘complex’ medical condition

KATIE Price has confirmed that Harvey does not have coronavirus, but he is remaining in intensive care due to his "complex" medical condition.

The worried mum heaped praise on her 18-year-old son in an Instagram post this evening, calling him a "brave fighter".

The 42-year-old star also revealed that she was able to visit the teen in hospital today as she thanked fans for their messages of support.

Sharing a photo of herself and Harvey at a red carpet event, with Harvey's arm wrapped around his famous mum, Katie wrote: "Hey everyone thank you again for your messages means a lot to me .

"I’ve left the hospital for the evening and can confirm Harvey is still in intensive care , despite claims, he has not got Covid like reported , his medical condition remains complex .

"I love him so much , he is so brave and fighter".

Her ex-husband Kieran Hayler showed his support, commenting on the post: "Strongest boy I know".

Harvey was rushed to hospital at the weekend after his temperature shot up to 42C.

Yesterday, The Sun Online revealed that the teen was being tested for COVID-19 while he remained in ICU as he was having trouble breathing.

Earlier today, Katie told fans that she was struggling with not being able to stay at her oldest child's bedside due to restrictions in place due to the coronavirus pandemic.

She said that Harvey was "comfortable" but his condition remained serious, writing at the time: "I can confirm Harvey still in intensive care , he is more comfortable, it’s hard as due to limited visiting hours and COVID I can’t be by his bed side , but he is being brave and strong , and able to face time him , I’ve let him know he has so much love and support and thank you 🙏 ❤️❤️."

The update comes after it was revealed Katie is furious Harvey's dad, retired footballer Dwight Yorke, has failed to get in touch.

Former Man Utd striker Dwight didn’t contact ex Katie to get an update on his son’s health - but did call into a radio station to speak about Manchester United’s performance against Southampton last night.

Two of Katie's ex husbands - Peter Andre and Kieran - have both posted on Instagram that they are praying for their former stepson.

Katie's son Junior, 15, and daughter Princess, 13, have also sent their love to older brother Harvey on social media.

Harvey will be in hospital "for at least a week" as doctors monitor his condition round the clock.

This is the second time he has needed hospital treatment in two weeks after he fell ill at Princess’s 13th birthday at her Surrey home.

Harvey experienced chest pains that felt like “pins and needles” and  was later sent home after being diagnosed with a chest infection.
