Katie Price has revealed her son Harvey is staying in intensive care overnight as she opened up about his current condition.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday evening, the former glamour model, 42, said she had just left Harvey, 18, at the hospital.

Sharing a picture of the two of them together with her 2.2million followers, she said Harvey's "condition is complex" but he is a "fighter".

The mum-of-five captioned the post: "Hey everyone thank you again for your messages means a lot to me.

"I've left the hospital for the evening and can confirm Harvey is still in intensive care & medical condition remains complex.

"I love him so much, he is so brave and fighter."

Katie finished the post with love heart and frog emojis, Harvey's favourite animal.

Harvey was rushed to hospital over the weekend after struggling to breathe and was said to be at risk of organ failure.

Katie kept her fans in the loop as she confirmed her son was stable and in the care of hospital staff at an intensive care unit.

She said on Instagram: "I can confirm Harvey is in intensive care and in the best hands and would like to thank the ambulance services and the hospital staff for the quick response and making him stable."

Due to the current coronavirus restrictions Katie is unable to stay with Harvey - who has Prader-Willi Syndrome and partial blindness - in hospital, though she has visited him.

He is currently stable but Katie's rep said the next few days are "critical".

Her rep told MailOnline : "He has had chest pains and a temperature. An extremely high temp. It was 42. You could cook an egg on him. It spiked quickly and he's had major problems breathing.
