Lidl Easter opening hours 2020: Bank holiday opening times and home delivery advice

LIDL is changing its opening hours this week because of Easter and the bank holidays.

Opening hours at most Lidl shops have remained unchanged in spite of the coronavirus crisis, but some may be operating different times - here's all you need to know.

How can I find the opening hours for my local Lidl store this Easter weekend?

Closing times can vary from store to store, so it's always worth checking your local branch.

You can do this using the store locator tool on its website.

What are Lidl's Easter 2020 opening and closing hours?

Lidl stores in England and Wales usually open from 8am every day, and Easter is no exception.

Below are this year's opening hours.

Good Friday, April 10: 8am - 8pm (stores inside M25)

Saturday, April 11: 8am - 8pm (all stores)

Easter Sunday, April 12: CLOSED

Easter Monday, April 13: 8am - 8pm (stores inside M25)

Lidl stores in Scotland are open as normal during the whole Easter weekend, meaning a majority open at 8am and close at 10pm.

Can I order online?

Lidl doesn't currently do home deliveries.

However, in October last year they advertised for a Digital Project Manager to head up a "new online platform" and be tasked with "driving online sales".

Deliveries do take place in some other countries, so it could be something Lidl may consider in the future.

When are the Easter holidays 2020?

Unlike Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day which all fall on fixed dates, Easter can be any time between March 22 and April 25.

In 2020 it falls on Sunday, April 12.

Good Friday is therefore April 10, and the Easter Monday bank holiday is on April 13.

The date is decided by a complex set of calculations based on observations of the moon.
