Anton had to leave the Love Island villa after reportedly falling ill and will miss tonight's episode.

The Scot will not be seen on Wednesday night's explosive show on ITV2 after being forced to spend the night away from his fellow islanders to recover.

It is believed that Anton became unwell during the day earlier this week before being separated from his friends and partner Belle Hassan.

According to Mirror Online , Anton will miss out on the drama as yet another love triangle forms and Michael and Amber grow close again.

Anton will be missed on Wednesday's show

Anton has since recovered and returned to the villa but will not be back on screens until Thursday night's episode .

In Wednesday's episode, fans can expect to see Scouser Michael finally admit that he does still have feelings for Amber.

In an exclusive clip shown on This Morning, Michael makes the confession while speaking to the boys around the firepit.

Michael says: "Now Joanna's gone, it's given me time to kind of think about things and yeah I do still like Amber."

Following his admission, Jordan warned Michael that his words have consequences.

He said: "If you do go back there, things will be so much more different."

Michael said: "I think I need to do myself a favour and let her know."

This comes after Michael's partner Joanna was dumped from the island.

Speaking after the show, Joanna said: "I’m feeling good! I’m a bit gutted that I’m not in the villa for a bit longer so I had the opportunity to get to know Michael more but I had an amazing journey and an amazing experience.

"Everything in life happens for a reason and maybe it was just my time to leave the villa.

"Part of me expected Michael to leave with me, however I don’t want to be in control of someone’s life journey."
