Two people have rushed to hospital for treatment for serious injuries after a crash on the M62.
It happened at around 5.45pm on Wednesday.
A diversion is currently in place via the exit and entry slip roads and police have cordoned off the area to carry out their investigations.
A spokeswoman for Humberside Police said: "The M62 eastbound at junction 36 is currently closed to allow emergency services to respond to a collision involving a motorbike.
“Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment for what are thought to be serious injuries.
"Motorists are advised to avoid this area where possible and there will be an update when the road reopens."
The crash has led to significant traffic disruption, with queues stretching back towards the M18.
Anyone with information about the accident should call Humberside Police on 101.
