Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has £120 million-rated Argentinian internationals Lautaro Martinez and Leandro Paredes in his sights.

Inter Milan striker Martinez and Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Paredes are aware of the Old Trafford interest.

And aged 22 and 24 respectively they meet the squad criteria Solskjaer favours – young and up-and-coming talent which has plenty of scope for improvement.

Martinez, also being chased by Barcelona , has become unsettled and fancies a move which would dramatically improve his current wages. He has an impressive record so far this season, scoring eight times in 15 Serie A games and also bagging five in six in the Champions League

Lautaro Martinez is reportedly in Manchester United's sights

Paredes has been under-used at PSG by boss Thomas Tuchel and is frustrated. He has made just four appearances in all competitions so far during the current campaign and has only played 25 times since joining from Zenit St. Petersburg in January.

Solskjaer admitted in his post-match conference following United's 4-0 win over Standard Liege in the Champions League that he is keen to add more options to his side

"We are looking to strengthen in many positions," he said at his post-match press conference.

"We are getting there but we still need two or three players to have enough numbers."

Addressing the stark improvement in United's second half performance following a sterile first period, he added: "There wasn't any cups flying or anything [at half-time].
