White supremacist activists were denounced after they hung a giant "White Lives Matter" banner on theDundee Act.
An image shared with Records shows a large banner hung outside the barrier by the large war memorial that dominates the city skyline. It commemorates those who died in World War I andWorld War IIand can be seen from all over the city.
No one has claimed responsibility for hanging the banner. However, this is believed to be the work of a far-rightwhite supremacistgroup, the Patriotic Alternative, which sees similar signs elsewhere in Scotland.

SNP-administered Dundee City Council leader John Alexander said: It saddens me to see these slogans in prominent places in Scotland.
“It is the far right’s most frequent attempt to minimize, excuse, or ignore the discrimination, hatred, and violence experienced by people of color. Our cities are welcoming and tolerant. It's a great place and the people of Dundee are proud of it."
The banner refers to the anti-racist Black Lives Matter campaign.
