The couple announced the news on Mr Wentworth-Stanley’s Instagram account last night, with a photo captioned: “We getting married”. The picture showed the pair with their arms around one another, and with Ms Bonas showing off the stunning engagement ring. Hundreds of fans congratulated the newly engaged couple, including several high profile friends, including the Duchess of Cambridge’s worth James Middleton and Sky Sports presenter Natalie Pinkham.
Commenting on the post, Mr Middleton shared a series of heart emojis and described the news as “so wonderful”.
Sky Sports television presenter Natalie Pinkham added: "Yes! Yes! And yeeeeees again!! Love you guys xxx"
The picture of the smiling couple was taken on the island of Nantucket in Massachusetts, US.
Prince Harry and Ms Bonas first started dating in 2012, where the pair were reportedly introduced by Princess Eugenie.
They split in 2014 and are thought to still be on good terms, with Ms Bonas having being invited to Harry’s wedding to Meghan Markle last year.
She also attended Princess Eugenie’s wedding to Jack Brooksbank in October.
Ms Bonas is a model and actress, having appeared in the ITV drama Doctor Thorne and the 2017 film Tulip Fever.
The 30-year-old has reportedly been dating Mr Wentworth-Stanley, an estate agent and son of the Marchioness of Milford Haven, since her split from Prince Harry in 2014.
Previously, the actress has opened up about how frustrating she finds being “pigeon-holed” as Prince Harry’s ex.
During an interview with BBC's Woman's Hour in 2017, Cressida said: "It's incredibly frustrating, especially in the industry that I'm in.
"But you know, it is the way it is. It's about making a stand and saying, 'No, this is who I am and this is what I want to do.'"
