Radio 1 presenter Chris Stark has welcomed a baby boy with his wife Ria.
The 33-year-old presenter made the exciting announcement during Thursday's radio show and revealed that he 'couldn't be happier and prouder' about their bundle of joy.
Chris then joked that they had named their baby Troy Ian Bango Stark, before admitting the real name will be revealed soon.
During this morning's show, Scott Mills was filling in for Greg James on the Breakfast Show when the doting dad called in from hospital with the exciting news.
During their call, Chris had nothing but praise for NHS staff and the midwife that helped deliver their child.
In an emotional phone call, Chris confirmed: "I’m so happy and I’m so proud and I’m just so pleased. Our little baby boy was born and it’s just like… it’s just mad. It’s the best."
Obviously I can’t say that I’m tired, my wife is just phenomenal. It’s such an amazing thing to go through and she is just incredible and I’m so proud of her…’
Prior to their call, Scott explained that he had actually received a cryptic message from the doting dad the night before that read: ‘Mate, won’t be on the show tomorrow’.
Scott explained: "There is no Chris Stark today. You know how the BBC is really good at covering the birth of babies? We get it right, we smash it every time, we’re proud of that.
"This morning, I can tell you that I know absolutely nothing about any birth at all. All I know is that I got a WhatsApp from Chris last night."
The new dad also wrote about the exciting news on his social media.
"I couldn’t be prouder. Our little lad is here. My wife is incredible," Chris added on Twitter.
"We owe Claire the midwife at Wexham Park Hospital everything. Thankyou for being there for us. We will never forget what you have done for us.
Chris has been inundated with messages of congratulations from the showbiz world including one from One Direction's Niall Horan.
Footballer Peter Crouch also added a message under the Twitter announcement, writing: "So pleased for you mate Troy Ian Bango is a fantastic name."
DJ MistaJam also wrote: "Welcome to Fatherhood Chris. Your life is about to take on new purpose and meaning. The years of late nights in clubs will stand you in good stead for the night feeds. You’re gonna love every second and will smash it."
