Richard Bacon has been slammed for repeatedly interrupting a guest over his no-deal Brexit fears - despite living in LA.

The Good Morning Britain presenter, who is standing in for Piers Morgan, seemingly turned into the outspoken host while interviewing James Cleverly MP.

The Conservative Party Chairman, who was also blasted for going round in circles, struggled to get a word in over the presenter.

Richard faced a barrage of criticism for his pro-European Union stance - as GMB viewers questioned whether someone living in the US should be given a voice.

Bacon wasn't happy with Cleverly's answers and asked to go into specifics on the shortage of medicines, even referring to himself as a 'citizen'.

He said: "Even in a non-worst case scenario, would we be correct as citizens to assume that in the event of a no-deal there would be a shortage of some medicines and would you tell us specifically which medicines we will be short of?"

Cleverly refused to discuss details from leaked government document Operation Yellowhammer.

"You’re asking me to go into detail in a leaked document that I’m not willing to do," insisted the MP.

But Richard wasn't willing to give up and continued to repeat his question, asking: "What is s the realistic position? What medicines will we be short of in the event of a no-deal?"

Richard claimed he hates interrupting

Refusing to answer the question, Cleverly said: "That is an internal document to stimulate government activity. I’m not going to sit here and speculate on a whole host of hypothetical situations."

This led Richard to lose patience and start talking over his guest in a bid to get an answer.

"I'm sorry to jump in...I hate interrupting. But don't you think the public have a right to understand there might be a shortage of medicines and which medicines."

But his efforts were wasted and Bacon did not convince Cleverly to disclose any information.

GMB viewers were not happy with Richard

Angry viewers took to Twitter to blast Richard for interrupting the MP.

"Richard shut up and let the man speak," said one furious viewer.

Another added: "Stop interrupting him Bacon, Piers Morgan you ain’t!"

"I love seeing the hatred in LA living Richards Bacon eyes when PM Boris Johnson is mentioned in the news," said a third.

A fourth said: "Richard Bacon just waited for James Cleverly to leave and answered his own question to James with the answer Richard wanted This is ridiculous! Switching over"
