Ant and Dec have described a Staffordshire charity worker as "a special fella" as he won a holiday.

Tim Shuttleworth was left gobsmacked when he appeared on ITV's Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway. He was chosen as one of the lucky winners in a section of the ITV show called 'Happiest Minute of the Week' which rewards heroes.

Mr Shuttleworth spent 27 years working for the fire service and also served with the armed forces before working for a charity for people with special needs, reports StokeonTrent Live.

As the cameras panned from the live studio audience to Tim's home where he was seen watching the show with his family, Saturday Night Takeaway host Ant McPartlin, said: "Tim Shuttleworth joined the armed forces aged 18, spent 27 years in the fire brigade and now works for a charity providing care for people with special needs.
