Phillip Schofield has been called “cooler than Bond” as he drove an Aston Martin DB5 into the This Morning studios.
Alongside his co-presenter Holly Willoughby, Phillip drove the pair along the street outside and directly into the ITV studios where the show is filmed as the James Bond theme played in the background.
Speaking to a dashboard camera, Phillip said: “The name’s Schofe. Phil Schofe.”
A laughing Holly then said: “That’s amazing.”
“Truly shaken and stirred,” commented Phillip, while Holly added: “Dreams are coming true today, guys.”
She went on: “Only a few more hours until the final Daniel Craig Bond film is on.”
The car has been an iconic piece of cinema since it made its debut alongside Sean Connery as James Bond in Goldfinger in 1964.
Phillip commented that he was excited and “living the dream here” as he drove the car into the studio, with Holly calling it “cooler than Bond”.
“The pressure is immense,” said Phillip, later revealing the car is worth £2.7million and is new as they often make new cars for the film which are later scrapped.
Phillip went on to show off the various features of the car, including the 007 control panel that enabled the special features.
These included small guns emerging from below the bonnet, water being shot out the back to resemble an oil slick, meanwhile, a bullet shield also emerged from the back.
The appearance of the iconic car in the studio was to celebrate the premiere day of the 25th Bond film and the fifth and final film to star Daniel Craig in the role of James Bond, No Time To Die.
The film also stars Rami Malek as Bond villain Lyutsifer Safin, Lea Seydoux as returning Bond love interest Dr Madeleine Swann, Lashana Lynch as new 00 agent Nomi, Ben Whishaw as gadget man Q, Ana de Armas as CIA operative Paloma, Jeffrey Wright as Bond’s old ally Felix Leiter, Christoph Waltz as evil Ernst Stavro Blofeld, and Ralph Fiennes as MI6’s big boss, M.
No Time To Die is finally due to be released on Thursday, September 30, 2021.
