Love Island 's Tommy Fury has revealed that he would never allow his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague, both 20, to take the reigns in asking him to marry her.

The boxer, who fell for the social media influencer over the summer on the ITV romance show, firmly believes it is down to the man in the partnership to ask for a woman's hand in marriage and told if Molly asked him something has 'obviously gone wrong.'

When probed on if he would be keen to wed the beauty - if she asked him in the upcoming leap year - the sportsman told OK! magazine : "Any man who lets a woman propose is not a man. It’s obviously gone wrong somewhere. Imagine if she did that!"

Hinting that the young couple are planning to take the next step, after moving into their flashy Manchester apartment earlier this year, Molly-Mae gushed: "We chat about the future a lot.”

“I don’t know if we seem stupid because we are so young, but we’ve found everything we want so why can’t we talk about marriage and babies as it is going to happen.

"I did make a joke that Tommy would propose in the Maldives when we go for New Year and it blew up, but there is no pressure to do it that quickly."

Their marriage chat comes after Molly-Mae was slammed by trolls for 'blackfishing' .

The Instagrammer was faced with fierce backlash after she posted a video online showing her doing her make-up, and she was using a base darker than her natural skin tone.
