The Met Office weather forecast is predicting a mixed picture across the UK today (Saturday, October 16).
A colder night will lead into a chilly early start on Saturday morning for much of the UK, with only the southwest reaching double-digit temperatures before 6am.
However, for some of the UK, that will clear up, leaving cloud with sunny intervals and lighter winds as the day goes on.
Later on, weâ€™ll see some heavier rain and thicker clouds for Northern Ireland and the west coast of Scotland.

Wales will be mostly dry for much of the day, if cloudy.
However, there are currently no weather warnings in place for the UK today (Saturday, October 16).
What is the UK weather forecast for October 16, 2021?
The Met Office listed the weather summary for the UK on Saturday, October 16 at the time of writing as:
â€œFog patches in southwest clearing by midday. Fine and dry for many with cloud increasing in west. Strong winds and rain may affect Northern Ireland and western Scotland later.â€
Weâ€™ll see widespread frost with mist and fog patches in the early morning, particularly around rural Scotland and northern/ eastern England.
Around 7am, some isolated pockets of rain across northern Scotland and the midlands, though it will remain cloudy for most throughout the morning, particularly in the west.
Scattered rain and cloud across Northern Ireland, with Wales mainly remaining dry, if cloudy.
At 7am, temperatures will be 10 degrees Celsius for London, 9 degrees for Cardiff, 6 degrees for Manchester, 10 degrees for Belfast and 6 degrees for Edinburgh.
Around 1pm, weâ€™ll see similar weather for most of the UK but slightly warmer in the south.
The cloud that started the day in the west will gradually move eastward, with heavier rain and thicker cloud emerging for Northern Ireland and the west coast of Scotland by late afternoon.
At 1pm, temperatures will be 15 degrees for London, 14 degrees for Cardiff, 13 degrees for Manchester, 13 degrees for Belfast and 9 degrees for Edinburgh.
Around 7pm, Weâ€™ll see that weather front moving in from the west covering much of Scotland and Northern Ireland.
The majority of England will remain dry with patchy clouds, with some scattered showers in the north brought by that weather front over Scotland.
At 7pm, temperatures will be 13 degrees for London, 15 degrees for Cardiff, 13 degrees for Manchester, 13 degrees for Belfast and 9 degrees for Edinburgh.
