People across the London have gone to the ballot box again - this time to vote in their Members of European Parliament .

A total of  seven MEP seats in the European Parliament are up for grabs in the area which covers Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Warwickshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire.

Before 1999 these were the EU constituencies of London Central, London East, London North, London North East, London North West, London South East, London South Inner, London South West, London West, and parts of London South and Surrey East.

Polls closed at 10pm on Thursday May 23 with the count taking place on Sunday May 26. Results are expected to be announced after midnight.
