Marcel Brands was involved in a heated exchange with an Everton supporter after Wednesday evening's Merseyside derby defeat to Liverpool.
Rafa Benitez's side were well beaten at Goodison Park and booed off the pitch after watching a dismal 4-1 defeat.
Demarai Gray's first-half strike offered hope of an Everton comeback as the 25-year-old reduced the deficit to 2-1, but further goals from Mohamed Salah and Diogo Jota completed a comprehensive victory for Jurgen Klopp's side.

Sections of the stadium began to empty out just 20 minutes into the match, but many of those who stayed behind until the full-time whistle were keen to make their thoughts clear.
One fan, sat next to the Everton board, was quick to question Brands and launched a verbal attack on the Blues' director of football.
"Get out of this club!" he shouted to the 59-year-old before adding about the players: "Did you recruit them?"
Instead of ignoring the emotional supporter, Brands stopped and appeared to ask: "Is it only the players?"

"It's everyone," fired back the Everton fan before Brands turned his back and walked away.
Also witnessed during the game was the return of an Everton banner reading: 'We demand Nil Satis Nisi Optimum, it's about time our club did too.'
First on show during Everton's 1-0 defeat to Brentford on Sunday afternoon, supporters sent out a clear message to the players and hierarchy regarding current performances for a second game in succession.
