Jackson Hastings: Dictated the contest from start to finish with a classy display from full-back. His hands were superb in setting up tries for Farrell and Halsall. Grabbed himself a try late on. 9

Sam Halsall: Stepped into the team late after initially being omitted on the teamsheet. Handled everything Leigh threw at him. Went over in the second half for his first Wigan try. 8

Willie Isa: Defended with real grit and desire and ran hard, too. 7

Jake Bibby: Made inroads with his running game and came close to scoring in the second half. 7

Umyla Hanley: Ran well when he stepped inside but kept his width impressively to touch down twice in the first half and he completed his hat-trick late on. 8

Thomas Leuluai: Got the ball rolling for Wigan as he rolled back the years with a lovely try in the opening stages. 7

Harry Smith (star man): Everything the youngster touched turned to gold. He ran well, constantly finding gaps and he terrorised the Wigan defensive line throughout the entire contest . 9

Brad Singleton: Saw red early in the game after exchanging punches with Leigh’s Jack Ashworth. He’s heading for a ban. 4

Sam Powell: Got Wigan off to a strong start before making way for Bourouh, but appeared once more in the second half and impressed. 8

Oliver Partington : A tidy showing through the middle. Didn’t put a foot wrong. 7

Liam Farrell: Scored two tries in the first half and turned in yet another top class display. 8

Kai Pearce-Paul: Showcased his defensive prowess. Combined well with Smith in the build-up to Farrell’s first. Looked the part yet again. 7

Joe Shorrocks: Played in a number of positions across the line but defended so well throughout and he grabbed himself a deserved try in the second half after an impressive effort to follow up on Bourouh’s breakaway. 8

John Bateman : Entered the fray after the red card and played through the middle. Struck fear into Leigh with his running game before being taken off and wrapped in cotton wool after the break. 8

Liam Byrne: Threw his weight around and came close to a try before being held up. 7

Mitch Clark : Gave it his all through the middle in the second half. 7

Amir Bourouh: Replaced Sam Powell in the first half and proved a real handful with his nippy runs around the ruck. 8
