Amankonah was not able to outshine Zeze who got the MOTM award

In mid- week , reigning champions Asante Kotoko hosted newbies Nsoatreman FC in an outstanding match week 1 game which was rescheduled due to CAF CL prelims against RC Kadiogo. The match which was played today was the second league game for the porcupine warriors after drawing 1-1 with Hearts of Oak.

The match kicked off exactly 3pm in the game even tho there was a heavy rain fall in Kumasi earlier on. The warriors started the game with their noses in front dominating the game from all angles.

The Porcupine Warriors scored the first goal of the game through Stephen Amankona from the penalty spot which he won the penalty himself. The kept on dominating the game in the first half with ball possession of 52 after the first have with 4 shots of target.

The Porcupine Warriors came into the second half stronger after scoring a goal in the first 2mins of the second half through Isaac Oppong. The team then relax and got shocked on the 51st min when Ofori pulled one back for the visitors and that was the consolation for Nsoatreman.

Midfield dynamo Serge Eric Zeze controlled the midfield together with Richard Boadu and Enock Morrison but the away side pulled a lot of pressure on the porcupine warriors which made goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim made some tremendous saves.

The former Asec and Ivorian midfielder Serge Eric Zeze was named MOTM after some super display of skills, tackles,passes and shots.
